Justin Drabowicz

Class of 2004 - Volleyball, Hockey, Tennis, Baseball

Justin Drabowicz is one of the most decorated and multi-sport athletes in the history of Wauwatosa East High School. In playing four sports in four years, he earned a total of 12 varsity letters. Three of the four sports he earned multiple letters where he had a tremendous impact in all the sports; it’s hard to say in which one he excelled the most.

When he took to the ice to play hockey, he commanded the stick. He earned four varsity letters while being named to First Team All-Conference in 2003 and 2004. In his senior year, he was honored with being named the Journal Sentinel All-Area First Team, and in his junior year he was Honorable Mention All-Area. Drabowicz was also named Team MVP his sophomore, junior, and senior years, as well as captain in his junior and senior years.

Switching to the baseball diamond, where Drabowicz was a pitcher, he earned three varsity letters, being named captain his senior year. In his junior year, he was named All-District Honorable Mention and All Greater Milwaukee Division I Pitcher. He achieved even more accolades his senior year, being named First Team All-Conference and being named a member of the Eastern All-Star Team. He was also named Scholar Athlete his senior year.

In the springtime, Drabowicz took to the tennis court, where he was a four-time varsity letter winner and the #1 singles player. He qualified for the WIAA State Tournament three years in a row (2002-04). He was named team captain his junior and senior years and team MVP three years; his sophomore, junior, and senior years.

Drabowicz was also a member of the boys volleyball team, earning one varsity letter. In addition, he was named GMC All-Conference Honorable Mention and awarded the Team Defensive MVP. To conclude his high school athletic career, Drabowicz received the Wauwatosa East Male Athlete of the Year award his senior year.

Drabowicz attended UW-Madison and became a ‘spectator’ after suffering an elbow injury his senior year of high school.
