Long, lean and springy, Mike Dahlquist used those qualities on the path to an incredible high school athletic career. Mike helped the basketball team to the Conference Championship in 1988 while earning All Conference Honorable Mention. Mike’s senior year (1988-89) was a magical year for the boys basketball team. Mike captained the team to the Conference Championship and Tosa East’s first boys basketball State Championship. Mike was All Conference, 3rd Team All Area, and as the leading scorer in the State Tournament, was named to the All State Tournament Team and a berth in the WBCA State All Star game. In volleyball, Mike’s squad won the Conference title in 1987 with Mike being named All Conference and All State. His senior year, Mike led the team to another Conference title and the school’s first boys volleyball State Championship. Mike was again named to the All Conference and All State teams and added AAU All American honors.
