Bob Wolff epitomized determination and dedication as an athlete at Wauwatosa High School. Wolff’s greatest accomplishments were on the basketball court where, with his teammate Bill Buechl, he led the team to incredible success. The culmination of the two players’ high school career was leading the Wauwatosa basketball team to win its first ever state championship in 1948. Wolff scored the most points of any player in the championship tournament, an unbelievable 56 points. For his incredible and unmatched performance in the state championship, Wolff, along with Buechl, was selected as one of the first two All-State basketball players ever chosen from Wauwatosa High School. In addition to his astounding athleticism on the basketball court, Wolff was also a phenomenal football player and golf team member at Wauwatosa. After graduation, Wolff went on to play basketball for the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
