Craig Nolinske earned seven letters during his high school years, including four in track and field and three in swimming. He is among the top three high and low hurdlers in track and field history at Wauwatosa East. In 1972, Craig’s collaboration with teammate Dennis Brown bore a set of standards with a rare first and fifth-place finish in the high hurdles and first and third place in the low hurdles at the state meet. Dennis and Craig secured first and second place in both events at the conference championship. This exceptional combined performance brought individual success and enabled Tosa East to claim the Suburban Conference Championship and State Championship, a feat not achieved since 1943. In 1973, Craig’s senior year, he clinched the 110 high hurdles at the State Meet, setting a new school record with an amazing time of 14.0. Craig also placed second in the low hurdles at the State Meet. This remarkable feat secured his place in the annals of Wauwatosa East’s track and field history and underscored his exceptional talent and dedication. Craig’s commitment to his sport was unwavering.
