Tim Hood’s high school career was marked by his exceptional talent and dedication to soccer and track. His unique achievements include earning seven letters, with three in soccer and four in track. In 2001, Tim’s leadership skills were recognized when he was named Captain of the soccer team. His instrumental role in Tosa East’s Conference Championship in 2000 and his selection for All-Conference Honors in 2001 and 2002, further underscore his ability to inspire and guide his teammates. Tim was also a key member of the GMC Champions, who decisively defeated top-ranked Brookfield East. Tim was blessed with incredible speed on the track, which enabled him to qualify for the Wisconsin High School State Meet every year from 1999 to 2002. Tim’s leadership skills and talent were recognized when he was named Captain of the Track team in 2002. His impact was further solidified when he was awarded MVP during the 2001 and 2002 seasons. As a very gifted runner, Tim was one of the few Tosa East athletes to qualify for the State track meet four consecutive years; he placed individually in the 400m and third in the 1600m relay in 2002. Tim was a member of the 400m relay team, which holds the outdoor record with Julian Berry, Jamel Ward, and Darren Ingram and has stood for over twenty years. Tim has also participated in over 20 events at the indoor and outdoor individual and relay Greater Metro Conference championships and was a triple crown winner (indoor, conference relays, and outdoor) in the 1600m relay in 2000 and 2001. Tim’s commitment to the sport was evident when he returned to Tosa East as an Assistant track coach in 2004 and 2005, working with the Sprinters and Jumpers.
