Bob Jones

Bob Jones was one of the fastest swimmers to ever attend Wauwatosa High School and a leader both in and out of the pool. Swimming under Coaches Bob Hanke and Herb Siewert, Jones was a Wisconsin swimming legend who inspired his team through both his talent and his positive attitude. Jones won four individual state championships and helped lead his fellow swimmers to three consecutive team state championships. Individually, Jones won the 75-yard individual medley state event two years in a row, was a member of a 150-yard medley relay team that won a state championship, and was part of a 200-yard free style relay team that also won a state championship. Jones’ state championships have helped Wauwatosa/Wauwatosa East to rank fourth in most individual state championships in swimming.
