Gary Grzesk was an astounding athlete at Tosa East, playing four different sports at the highest levels. As a star on the basketball court, Grzesk helped lead his team to two conference championships and a state championship. He made 3rd Team All-State and ranks both 6th and 7th for free throws made in a single season (97 and 95), 10th for total career points (829), and 11th for points in a single season (383). As a soccer player, Grzesk helped lead his team to a state championship and was voted the team’s Most Valuable Player. He also made 1st Team All-Conference two years in a row, received All-State honors, All-American honors, and was chosen as Gatorade player of the state. On the football field, Grzesk was a kicker and ranks 13th for longest field goal (32 yards). As a baseball player, he made 2nd Team All-Conference. After graduation, Grzesk attended the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay for basketball, where he was voted the team’s Defensive Player of the Year four years in a row. He now coaches the men’s basketball team at St. Norbert College.
