When one thinks of Tosa East girls cross country they think of Randy Jacobsen. Randy was the girls cross country head coach a remarkable 25 season (1983-2007) at Tosa East. His teams were conference champions in 1989, ’99 and ’00. They qualified for state in 1996, ’00, ’01, ’02, and ’03) and Randy coached 17 individual cross country state qualifiers including Clare Eichner who won the State title in 1986 and 1987. Randy also was head girls track coach from 1985-92 and assistant girls track coach in 1993 and 1994. During this time, Randy helped Clare Eichner to three individual state track championships and the girls squad to the conference indoor and relay championships in 1983.
