Tom Rehberger has been a part of the Tosa East cross country community since the early 1970’s. Tom enjoyed an outstanding high school career in both cross country and track. Tom was a three year letter winner in cross country and as a junior helped lead Tosa East to a Conference Championship. As a Senior, Tom earned All-State honors while finishing 3rd overall at State. He set the school record for a 3 mile course at 15:03 at the State Sectionals. Tom’s success carried over to track where he also won three varsity letters. Tom was a member of the 1976 Conference Relay and Outdoor Championship squads and was All-State in the 2 Mile finishing 5th at the State Championship in 1976. The following year, Tom was again All-State finishing 3rd in the 2 Mile at State where he set the school record in the 2 Mile in 9:21. Tom came back to Tosa East to lead the Cross Country team as the head coach from 1998 to 2013 with his team winning a Conference Championship in 2001.
